Comprised of a variety of materials found tipped into or pasted into books within the Martin Secker library dating from the early 1900s throughout the 1960s. The library consists primarily of copies of the books published by the Richards Press and Martin Secker. Materials within the collection include such items as: autographs and typescript cards, letters from the authors and royalty receipts; Richards Press and Martin Secker publication announcements; press cuttings of book reviews and articles; photographs and excised photographic illustrations; manuscript draft poems and essays; fragments of dust jackets and dust jacket blurbs. All items are cross-referenced to the book in which originally found. LIAS call numbers are given. Also included within the collection is a letter copy book containing approximately 500 carbon copy typescript letters, some signed and/or bearing autograph notes, from the Richards Press to others. Thi series of correspondence dates from 1938 to 1941 and is arranged chronologcally.
